Youth and Family Director
Thomas grew up in Seattle and lived there until he graduated from high school. While in Seattle, Thomas attended University Presbyterian Church with his parents and his brother, becoming an active participant of the youth groups there. Once he graduated from high school, Thomas took a gap year and moved to Scotland to work as a youth intern at two churches in a small town called Banchory. It was in Scotland that Thomas realized that he wanted to be involved with youth groups for the rest of his life, in some capacity.
At the end of the year, Thomas moved to Bellingham where he began attending Western. Thomas involved himself immediately in the INN, as a student leader, and FPC, becoming a youth leader for 5 years. Thomas studied Spanish at Western and graduated in 2016 when he served for two years as an Elder at FPC.
Thomas moved back to Seattle for two years, working as a barista while his soon-to-be wife Chloe was studying in Indiana. Thomas and Chloe got married on the FPC lawn in June 2020 and moved back to Bellingham. Thomas worked for a year at a permanent supportive housing unit for chronically homeless before coming to work at FPC.
Thomas enjoys playing sports of all kinds, but especially Volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee. Thomas considers storytelling to be one of his favorite hobbies, along with playing board games. Thomas is thrilled to be meeting with people at FPC, even while in reduced capacity, and he hopes to continue building intergenerational relationships with those around him.
