Stead Halstead
FPC IT & INN Staff
Originally a Bellevue Community College Video Production student, Stead transferred to Whatcom and eventually to Western to major in Accounting with minors in Business Management and Spanish. Immediately after moving to Bellingham, a friend invited Stead to the INN. Through being a part of a small group, various mission trips, and the INN’s Tuesday gatherings, Stead was reaffirmed in his faith and realized the excitement of being involved in ministry. During an internship at the Fred Meyer headquarters in Portland, he began to sense a draw to work in the church.
After graduating from Western, Stead drove a tour bus in Alaska for a few months before heading back to Bellingham to participate in the internship at the INN. Through putting his administrative and number crunching skills to work, he transitioned into being the administrator at the INN. This position includes, but is never limited to: monitoring the finances of the ministry, managing communications with supporters, and attempting to keep
the business side of things organized. In addition to his regular responsibilities at the INN, Stead serves as FPC’s tech person.
While not around the church or INN office, Stead enjoys being outside with his wife, Sarah. Specifically, they are very big into an activity called Geocaching, which is best described as an electronic treasure hunt. They’d love to take you with them if you’re interested!
