Robby Olson
Youth Ministry Director & Contemporary Worship Director
Robby joined our staff in August 2009 as Youth Ministry Director and Contemporary Worship Director. Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area and having spent five years in Madison, Wisconsin, Robby is excited to be a part of the FPC family and to be serving with his long time mentor, Pastor Doug. In full time youth ministry since 1999, Robby has a deep love for middle school and high school students, and a call to help them get to know Jesus as they learn what it means to be a disciple. He is also excited to be intimately connected to the wider ministry of FPC. Beyond youth ministry, you will find Robby leading our Intergenerational Mission to Mexico, taking students to serve at Lighthouse Mission, preaching, leading worship, planning worship services, and coordinating 40+ volunteers who make our Sunday morning worship happen.
When he’s not working at FPC, Robby is a graduate student at Fuller Theological Seminary, pursuing a Master of Divinity (a.k.a. the Pastor degree). He enjoys reading, running without running shoes, land paddling, riding his bike, and searching for Bellingham’s best coffee.
Robby and Jenni were married in 2002, and they are enjoying their time discovering the Pacific Northwest, building a community of friends, and rooting on the Roller Betties, here in the City of Subdued Excitement.
