Cris Hageman
Ministry Associate for Pastoral Care and Administration
From 1996 to 2005 Cris worked at FPC as the Church Administrator, but due to serious health issues was on medical leave until 2008. She is now back full-time at FPC as the Ministry Associate for Pastoral Care and Administration.
Cris has her B.A. in Education and Biblical Studies from Northwest College and her Early Childhood Degree from Northwest College and Skagit Valley College. Most of Cris’ life has been spent in church work as her father was a Senior Pastor and Bible school professor, and her late husband was a Music Pastor. Cris has served in Washington, California, and Arizona as a Children’s Pastor, Administrator, and Principal of a Christian school. At FPC Cris has not only worked as the Church Administrator, but has also headed up the children’s department, congregational life, and various other jobs in times of church transition.
Cris has been married to Vaughn since 1996 and they live in Bellingham. Vaughn loves all things genealogy, umpiring softball, and started a new career in 2008 as an x-ray technician at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He has three daughters (Melissa, Liza, and Gayle) and three grandchildren (Sidney, Isaac, and Lola). Cris loves to knit, read, clean, cook, and keep everyone organized. Cris has two children; Tara Crabtree who lives in Bellingham, and a son Aaron Crabtree who along with his wife Nadine live in Chilliwack, B.C. And of course Cris is very proud of her two grand-dogs, Daimler the Dachshund and Smudge the Chihuahua.
Cris’ theme verse continues to be Jeremiah 29:11 (The Message):
I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out – plans to take care of you,
not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.
God’s healing touch on Cris’ body has given her a new future for which she gives Him all the glory.
