Jim as been the Director of the INN University Ministries and a Ministry Associate with FPC since 1997. Previously he worked as Associate in Ministry for Birchwood Presbyterian Church, a program director at the Firs, and a public school teacher. He has a M.Ed., Adult Education from WWU and a B.S. from Western Oregon University (OCE). Jim has been an instructor for City University Graduate School and a community parent educator. He has written for numerous publications including: Leadership, Group, Christian Camp and Conference Journal, and Youthworker.

Jim is married to Connie who is the office coordinator for Bethany Christian Services Bellingham and is active at FPC as member of the Outreach/Missions Committee, and is also a Deacon. They have two sons - Kyle (married to Sarah) and Michael, and three grandchildren - Caleb, Morgan & Nevaeh.
