Lauren was born and raised in Bellingham. After attending nearly every school possible in town, (Happy Valley, Fairhaven, Sehome, Whatcom, and Western) she moved to Tokyo, Japan to teach English. A week later she met Corey, international man of mystery, in Tokyo at a busy street crossing, and they married 6 months later on the banks of the Koma-gawa river in Saitama, Japan.
Their son, Samuel Estlin, was born in Japan. Shortly after his birth, the family returned to Bellingham to be closer to community, and began attending First Pres. Lauren continued teaching Japanese students at WWU, until the birth of their daughter, Koen Lee. When she is not looking after her family, Lauren enjoys running, reading, date nights with Corey, and eating Mallards Rocky Road ice cream.
Lauren is responsible for the Nursery and Toddler programs at FPC and can be reached at 752.2292 or lauren@onsv.com.
