National Parks-
Thank you to all who have welcomed our family back to Bellingham and for all who were praying for us during our vacation.  We had a great time, saw some amazing sights, enjoyed our family and our friends, and come home with a deeper appreciation for our Country.

We drove through 8 states on our journey, we put a lot of miles on our Station Wagon, we listened to a lot of books on tape, and we ate a lot of noodle-roni.  As we journeyed through our magnificent country I came back with some very clear thanksgivings.

Stewardship- I was thankful for the first pioneers of our National Park System, John Muir and Teddy Roosevelt, who saw such an incredible opportunity.  For the past century our leaders have stewarded resources and land so that anyone can go and appreciated the amazing beauty of our country- awesome.

Creation- The Creation is incredible.  Whether it is the sheer Granite face of El Capitan, the steaming pools of Yellowstone, or the Redwoods of Santa Cruz, all I can say is Wow.  There are amazing animals out there, incredible sights, and magnificent reminders of God's creativity.

The Creator- How can one see the awesome creation and not feel a deep thanks to the Creator.  Amazing that the same one that sculpted half dome also knit me together.

With all those thanksgiving, I came back with a renewed interest in exploring our state's National Parks and incredible sights.  We live amidst such treasures, and I often forget.

In His Thanksgiving,

Doug B.
