Economic Stimulus
It just came into our mailbox- a special unanticipated check. Well, it wasn't too unanticipated because we knew it was coming... In fact we even went and bought some shades to try and keep our house cool in the knowledge that we would be receiving our economic stimulus check... So some of it has already been spent.
But how fun is it too get money you didn't count on... My thought is, keep that good feeling going. We are blessed to be a blessing, so why not take some of the check and send it on to bless someone else. It could be a neighbor, a family member, one of the many charitable organizations in Bellingham. We are called to be a blessing and when we receive money out of the blue, that is the best time to send it on to be a blessing to someone else.
I pass on today 2 sad pastoral announcements... 2 great saints of our church went on to glory last week. Anne Bond died on Friday right when the fireworks began and Maxine Lauer passed away a week ago Sunday. There will be a service for Anne on Wed. at 2pm with visitation at Moles on Tues from 5-7pm. There will be a service for Maxine on Aug. 16th. All are welcome at both.
In His Blessing,
Doug B.
