I was born in Iowa, and my fondest memories there were living with my grandparents. The summer before entering sixth grade my newly extended family moved to Orange County, CA, which is where, two weeks before graduating high school, I made the most important decision in my life—I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Over the years, I have done extensive study in the Scriptures and obtained degrees in psychology, philosophy, and history, along with a Masters in Counseling. I moved to Santa Cruz in 1979, and eighteen years later made the second most important decision in my life—marrying Melissa. We moved to Bellingham in 2004 and soon became members and then deacons at First Pres. In December 2011, we downsized into a fifth-wheel trailer and journeyed around the States. We returned to Bellingham in August 2016, and are happy to be back at church. I am the author of several books—nonfiction and fiction—which you can find at Amazon.com.
