Perry Mason Adair has served as an Elder since 2016, and in that capacity is a member of the FPC Budget and Personnel Committees. He also serves as an Usher/Greeter, liturgist, communion assistant and Prayer Team member. Originally from Indiana, Perry holds a B.S. in Education and a Master of Public Administration from Indiana University, where he met and married his wife Nancy in 1971. They relocated to Bellingham in 2008 upon his retirement from a 35 year career with the U.S. government. He served in the United States Army, worked for the U.S. General Accounting Office, the U.S. Air Force, and for the last 22 years as a diplomat with the U.S. Department of State.
His career has enabled Perry and his family to live in Ohio, California and Virginia, and in several overseas locations; Germany, Malaysia, Zaire, Denmark, Ghana, India and Jordan. Nancy taught in public and private schools in all of these locations, and their children Mason and Jeffrey attended a variety of schools. They adapted well to this nomadic life, living overseas themselves in Germany and Oman.
