Lent is a season in the church calendar which prepares us for the Miracle of Easter. At FPC we find it is a great time to gather in smaller groups for 6 weeks, get to know people in our congregation we otherwise might not know, and talk about Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem and what it means in our lives today. Our theme this year is Vital Signs – what are the vital elements of our faith journey, both personal and in community?
You have a couple options of how to join us on the journey!
Sunday Lenten Lunches
Feb 23 – Apr 5th
- Join a small group following FPC Sunday Service (11:30-1pm) to discuss the study for the week over lunch, childcare provided (Kindergarten and younger)
- One time fee of $35/adult to cover meals and childcare help (whether you receive the childcare directly or not)
Off Campus Small Group
Week of Feb 23 – Week of April 5th
- Meet with 5-7 others from FPC in homes of people from the group. You can meet around a meal or not, we’ll try our best to match people up around availability.
As you plan, it is ok to miss one or two sessions, but we hope these spaces can be a rich time to really connect with one another and grow as God’s people. Committing to and prioritizing spaces like these make a more meaningful time for everyone.
Study guides will be available in mid-February. These are primarily available for those participating in the study, but are also available for personal study, or group study outside of our FPC crafted groups.
