Doug’s Weekly Words May 12th, 2010
Friends,
We are excited about what will be happening on Sunday, May 23! For the first time in anyone’s memory, local Presbyterian churches will be gathering together to celebrate Pentecost Sunday. Please mark your calendars and invite your friends to join us.
Date: Sunday, May 23
Time: 10:00am
Location: At the beautiful Mt. Baker Theater
Speaker: Dr. Corey Schlosser-Hall, Executive Presbyter
Please note: There will only be a service at the Mt. Baker Theater. There will NOT be a worship service at FPC on May 23.
Children: Welcome to join us in the worship service and we will also have a cry room for parents to take their children to, and it will offer a video-feed of the service.
Offering: The offering taken on this Sunday will be in its entirety to Habitat for Humanity. Your usual FPC giving can be given on May 16 or May 30 during worship, or by dropping your check in the mail.
Parking: Handicap/elderly parking and assistance will be available.
Other worship times to remember are:
- Sunday, May 30 – Only one worship service at 11am due to Memorial Day weekend.
- Sunday, June 27 through September 5 – We are on our summer worship service schedule with only one service at 10am each Sunday.
This week I am out of town on study leave, but will be returning for Sunday, May 16 worship services at FPC. Blessings on your week!
